Amanda Holden Replaced on BGT by Carmen Electra

Amanda Holden’s replacement on Britain’s Got Talent, Carmen Electra, was debuted today at the London auditions.
With Amanda still recovering from new born Hollie’s traumatic birth last month, the ITV show producers had to call in a last-minute stand-in to fill Amanda’s seat beside Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
Simon Cowell, who also sits on the BGT judging panel, took a liking to Carmen when she featured as a guest judge on America’s talent show, So You Think You Can Dance.

The Baywatch star and former Playboy model arrived at the auditions in London’s Hammersmith Apollo in style, climbing out of a sleek black car in leather trousers and towering heels.
She teamed the tight legwear with a black blouse and white blazer, her wavy blonde hair hanging loose around her shoulders.

Some producers were reportedly concerned that U.S. star Carmen is rather unknown in the U.K., but a source revealed that Simon Cowell had the final say:
“Simon took a fancy to Carmen and decided to fly her over. She looks great and is very ¬opinionated, but there is a concern from some of the BGT production crew that she will not be the most familiar face to all the viewers. But as usual, what Simon says, he usually gets.”
The replacement is only temporary, however – Amanda aims to be back at work by this weekend’s Edinburgh auditions.
