2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards: Winners

The 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAGs) were held on Sunday night in Los Angeles, uniting actors from around the globe to celebrate achievements in film and television. The SAGS hold special significance to actors as they are nominated by, voted upon and presented by their own peers. Winning big on the night was The Help, with Viola Davis picking up Outstanding Female Actor in a Leading Role, Octavia Spencer winning Outstanding Female Actor in a Supporting Role, and the cast in Outstanding Ensemble in a Motion Picture. It was a star studded night in Hollywood as the 17th Annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards were held in The Hollywood Palladium, Los Angeles, on Thursday evening. To celebrate the best in cinema over the past twelve months, Hollywood’s hottest names turned up including Brad Pitt, George Clooney with Stacy Keibler, Charlize Theron, Leonardo DiCaprio and Elizabeth Olsen.   Major honours on the night included George Clooney, who picked up the Best Actor Award and Viola Davis with the Best Actress honour, “The Artist” ended up taking home Best Picture. Mobo Awards 2011: Best and Worst Dressed

  The MOBO Awards were held last night at Glasgow’s SECC Arena. The 16th annual event are the biggest night of the year celebrating British urban music talent. It was hosted by US singer Jason Derulo and Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon. Jessie J ended up being the big winner of the night, taking home Best Newcomer, Best UK Act, Best Album for Who You Are and Best Song for Do It Like A Dude.   The 63rd Emmy Awards were held in Los Angeles last night, and as always, people were buzzing the next morning just as much about the fashion as they were the about the winners. There were some major hits and also quite a few misses. 2011 Video Music Awards: Fashion Hits And Misses

The MTV VMAs never fail to deliver a vast array of fashion hits and misses, anything goes and celebs really get to show their personality. This year’s awards did not disappoint, fashion hits included Beyonce who stole the show in an Orange Lanvin gown and her baby surprise, newlywed Kim Kardashian in metallic Kaufman Franco number and Kelly Rowland in a feathered and embellished Falguni & Shane Peacock dress. Emmy Nominations And Our Predictions

The 63rd Emmy Award nominees were announced recently by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences giving many predictable and not so predictable results. The American annual television Award ceremony will take place on the 18th of September and will be hosted by Jane Lynch, better known as Glee’s cheerleading coach of William McKinley High School, who is also up for the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. Kate Winslet’s five part mini-series, Mildred Pierce, led the way with a staggering 21 nominations followed closely by Mad Men, a popular drama series set in the 1960s about the advertising scene, with a respectable 19 nominations and Boardwalk Empire coming in third with 18 nominations….

British Comedy Awards 2010

Controversial, hilarious and full of laughter! The British Comedy Awards was very entertaining and truly celebrated the best of British Comedy! Quirky Jonathan Ross hosted the Awards at the Indigo 02 and Miranda Hart came out in triumph, having been named The 2010 ‘Queen of Comedy’. For the first time, this year the public joined the celebrities in the audience. Among the guests were Hollywood star Goldie, Graham Norton, The Inbetweeners Cast, Jameela Jamil, Louie Spence, Stacey Soloman and Tinchy Stryder.
