Crowd Laughs Mercilessly At Farmer Lady, Then She Blasts Them Away With Her Voice
Farmers can be fierce divas too! When one talented farmer-by-day and aspiring singer-by-night, Jaqueline Faye, auditioned for “The X Factor” both the judges and audience were a bit perplexed. The timid and rosy-cheeked contestant is a 53-year-old farmer from Oxfordshire, England who temporarily left the farm to pursue her dreams while her hubby watched over their animals back home.
Jaqueline Faye’s “farm family” includes lovable chickens, ducks, horses, and their peacocks, Dave and Chaz, to whom she dedicated her performance. While everyone laughed at her at first, when she began to belt out and sing Cilla Black’s hit song “You’re My World,” everyone gasped in amazement.
“X-Factor” judge Simon Cowell had a magnificent smile spread across this face. “As you walked out I’m kind of thinking to myself [that] maybe you’ve walked on to the wrong show by mistake,” he admitted. “And I’m thinking this isn’t going to be great… and then you were.”
