Nobody Could Do Freddie Mercury Like George Michael, Watch His Brilliant “Somebody To Love” Tribute
The ex-Wham! singer George Michael died at just aged 53 on December 25, 2016. The press release said he died peacefully at home so we can only assume that wasn’t well and that it wasn’t sudden. But nevertheless, the world lost a much-loved icon we will miss for years to come.
There are so many incredible musical memories of him and people often forget he was a total style icon back in the day. Guys would bleach their hair, rip their jeans, don leather jackets and then, of course, he invented the designer stubble. And the music. Who doesn’t love Wham?
He had one of those voices that was really a gift from above. At that famous Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992, a list of great artists tried to do a “Freddie” and only George came close on the brilliant “Somebody To Love.” Watch and share if you enjoy George Michael’s music.
